ATMOSPHERE HARDEN – TEMPER – HARDNESS TESTING

The beginner package involves heat treating blades in an atmosphere controlled furnace to minimize scale, oxide and decarb from high temperature treatment. Following oil quench, blades are then tempered to desired hardness. The process is finalized by testing to the desired/appropriate scale of hardness and reported.

Each package in your order must contain only one material unless you have contacted Byington Blades and received approval for a multi-material package order.
